The Eastern Kentucky Health Sciences Information Network is a member supported consortium founded in 1977. The network is the embodiment of a cooperative effort to secure and provide professional medical library services for health care providers at member sites. The network serves six   medical and three academic institutions from offices located at St. Claire Medical Center, Morehead, Ky. EKHSIN offers its members rapid, reliable access to:

• Information and materials located at over 200 health science and other libraries across Kentucky, the southeast, and the midwest.

• A wide variety of nline databases including medical, legal, governmental, many fulltext.

• Training and technical assistance in areas of library management, collection development, information access, storage, and retrieval.

• Cataloging information for all library materials, including books, journals, and AV.

• Reference services via telephone, Fax, or email.

• Interlibrary loan services featuring DOCLINE. Materials delivered via mail, fax, or PDF.

• Resource services for inservice personnel.

• Consultation services including preparation for Joint Commission inspections.

• Grant writing services and participation in network grant implementation.
